I am objecting to the rezoning of this parcel to commercial use. I live in the Kingston on Providence neighborhood right across the road. The biggest concern is the impact on traffic. The infrastructure is not in place to support this development, with Providence Rd being only 2 lanes. Second, and no less important, would be loss of the small town feel that I moved to Waxhaw to enjoy. Put the big box stores out on 521. Thanks.

Waxhaw has a nice community feel to it and putting a Costco near our town will ruin it. I vote strongly NO to this

You cannot go anywhere in Waxhaw between 4:00 and 7:00 already because of the traffic. There are days it backs up on Providence Rd from the railroad tracks past Pine Oak Rd. And that's now; BEFORE anything is done with Prescott!!! Please do not change the zoning on this property. Our wonderful small town already bears very little resemblance to even 10 yeas ago. Just keep building and building without one change to the roads or infrastructure ( except more and more schools)... please push for a fix to our road system BEFORE allowing any more businesses to build here. . #longingforWaxhawofOldDays

I strongly oppose the proposed development of the land adjacent to the Camberley neighborhood. My concerns include the privacy of my backyard, as light pollution and noise pollution will be an invasion. Trash accumulation at the dumpsters will cause odors that will attract rodents. The increased rodent population will be a safety concern to children and pets in Camberley. This land is not a good placement for a warehouse store with its close proximity to our historic downtown. The increase in traffic from any commercial development on this land is unacceptable. Traffic concerns in Waxhaw need to be addressed before sizable commercial development of this type is considered anywhere this close to downtown Waxhaw. This proposed development needs to be stopped.

Large commercial development needs to remain north of Prescott Village. Roads can barely handle current day volume in this area!!

Traffic is horrendous now. We don't need to make it worse and don't need more commercial buildings.

Traffic on Provdence rd is unbelievable now. Can't even cross the road without taking your life in your hands. This needs to be addressed before any more businesses go in

There are two already cleared areas without anchors along Providence Rd. Why do we need another? Providence cannot handle present traffic, is the developer offering to buy the land and widen the road from Prescot up to the Food Lion. It;s already nest to impossible to turn left out of our Subdivision at times. It needs to be at least 3 lanes wide from the bridge to the post office.

It is really irresponsible to add additional commercial development to an over stressed road system in and out of Waxhaw. Until such time that infrastructure is in place- traffic lights, more lanes etc, it should not be approved.

Out little town can't handle the traffic we have now. Pleas do not approve any development that will bring in more traffic. Also the property is surrounded by residences and it's not an appropriate area for a big box store like Target.

We do not need anymore gas stations or grocery stores what's wrong with a town keeping some trees and using the land that is already cleared instead of clearing more.

Why can't the currently opened developments (Prescott) be filled before starting new ones. Traffic on Providence road MUST be addressed prior to any new developments!

Please, no more commercial development closer to downtown Waxhaw. The Cureton commercial areas meet all of our needs. Please keep this lot residential.

We already have Prescot Village which is still under construction. Providence Road is already congested as it is cannot support the current flow of traffic. I live in Camberly, and there are times it takes me 3-5 minutes to turn out of the development. All that another commercial site will do is create more traffic.

I oppose this rezoning. It is imperative to preserve green space and prevent the headlong escalation of overdevelopment. Hwy 16, even if/when widened, cannot handle the delivery trucks and consumer traffic. Adhere to best small town development practices to ensure quality of living for Waxhaw.

Poor planning. Poor traffic management. Find another spot.
