Please join the petition to call on the prime minister to expell all the students arrested in connection of ragging as a permenant means of deterrence. I have been hearing from so many of you about your own experiences and it honestly breaks my heart to see how widespread this issue is. All I did was start a page but the real weight behind this message comes from your personal stories and your courage to speak up.

University ragging should be diminished! I myself had faced many inconvenient situations in the university of Colombo faculty of arts
It is time that the government interferes. Having an Act and waiting for it to magically address this heinous crime is not going to work. Expell all students who engage in ragging. Deterrence always work with immature and insecure.
I agree with what has been said and I'm strictly against ragging. As an undergraduate at a state university I have seen how the rights of the students are been violated by the so called students union and i believe a complete stop to such acts should be done.
We faced it very much, very very much. And I would do anything to stop it completely. They say they make the batch strong but it divides further and leads to creation of many more conflicts. Pls don't make the signed people's names public after you sign, university people don't wanna show they have signed. It is a sincere request by us, please do
This country can never truly develop if the so called leading minds of the people who are also the future of this country still engage in such barbarism and hinder those who actually have dreams to make a positive difference in the world. Expulsion is the necessary action just like it would be in any school. Weed out the bad and let this country truly develop with the sweat, effort and skills we were once famous for!
Ragging is a violation of human rights and it should be eliminated from our society.

Ragging destroys a person's right to think different. With filthy words and harassments their mindset has been changed. I have a friend who was very innocent but after rag period he was very different. And they're lot of untold stories.
