It's an accident waiting to happen! How will the blind be able to cross the road(s)?

This looks like an accident waiting to happen for able bodied people never mind anyone with any mobility issues.

This is such a dangerous plan not just for Pedestrians.

Taking away the junction will lead to deaths. Some car drivers think they own the roads and won't stop to let people cross. Having any kind of disability will make crossing dangerous. Elderly people have enough trouble crossing during the time the crossing is safe without having NO crossing!

I'm bewildered that this is still being considered, I can only imagine someone somewhere is receiving a back-hander for the project, when there is nothing but public animosity for the idea. Has there been ANY public support for the project? I'm not expecting them to listne to the public, I mean it's only taken them a year to put an actual Green Man on the lights at Lidl/MacDonalds...
