Rejection of COI Eritrea The United Nations commission on human right commission of human right inquiry's in Eritrea Dear Sir/Madam I am writing this email in protest against the persistent and unwarranted attack your organization continues to protect against the people and state of Eritrea. The national service was instituted to creat a new generation characterized by the love of work and discipline becouse I am I did national service in 8th round. Tens of thousands of Eritrean young women had honorably served and are serving in the national service and had heroically defended their country and are rebuilding the country have you ever heard of these allegations? etc.... COI should cease it's unholy conspiracy and respect Eritreans right not to be interfered with kind regards

Ich bin der Meinung das die COIE ein eigenes Bild machen sollte über das Land. Das Land ist noch in der Entwicklung . Aber es ist nicht so wie es in den Berichte geschrieben steht.

I completely rejected the COI report against Eritrea.

I oppose to the fabricated COIE lie and i see it as an insult to our intelligence, because it is full of inaccurate information from nameless and faceless testimonies meant to other purposes rather than to help Eritreans in need

i wander with amusement when several times berne our home with bombs lost my brothers and sisters i grew up in maryam gnby ,sembel ,qanew and still i fill the pain . i never heard any sound from any where .

This acausation is not true about my Eritrea. I WAS IN SAW A MY SELF IN THE ROUND 21 WHICH I COMPLETED MY NATIONAL SERVICES IN 2008. Never heard or experience such things . It was the most extensive training with respect and honored time of my life to be one of the graduates.

Dear Members of the UN Human Rights Council, and Members of the Commission of Inquiry on the Human Rights Situation in Eritrea: I am writing this letter by email to oppose and protest in the strongest terms against the allegations of “gross violations of human rights in Eritrea” that the Commission of Inquiry (COIEritrea) published in its report last year. I am an Eritrean American independent journalist/researcher who has lived and worked in Eritrea for the past 15 years. What I witnessed in Eritrea during those years is a country at peace and stability which respects basic rights of its citizens, despite the “no-war/no-peace” situation that prevails due to Ethiopia’s illegal occupation of sovereign Eritrean territories. In Eritrea, I am always able to travel freely to various cities, towns and remote rural areas with no restrictions whatsoever; and I observed that all citizens were able to do so likewise. The freedom of worship in the country is unrestricted, and the harmony of peaceful coexistence between the two religions of Christianity and Islam is exemplary. The most outrageous allegation of the COIEritrea is that of “sexual violence” and rape against women. This is totally false and does not reflect the realities of Eritrea, where women’s rights are respected and protected by law and deeply entrenched as social values of Eritrea. Concerning Eritrea’s National Service, I have many cousins, sons and daughters of close relatives and friends doing their national service obligation, and they never mentioned it as “slave labor”. All of them are proud of their contribution. I have visited Sawa National Service Center, and it was mostly an educational center, with minimal military training. All in all, I can testify with objective certainty that there are no gross and systematic violations of human rights in Eritrea. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Elias Amare Gebrezgheir

As a young german citizen with eritrean roots ive always made sure to be in touch with Eritrea and to gain more than just historical knowledge about that country. I was blessed with the opportunity to take multiple trips there, got into the different cultures and saw the variety and peace Eritrea has to offer. there's not one place on earth that is perfect and where ppl live in 100 percent harmony, but to me eritrea is pretty close. This UN COI report consist of a bunch of lies and is not even close to reality. It's easy to make empty allegation against sb. My Eritrean brothers and sisters...it's ment to be and we have to put our trust in God and PRAY...he took us this far. peace and love Igsabir mehrit yeweredelna.Amen
