I am appalled by the suggestion of a prison to be located in Winsford.
This is a total disregard to the WNP and an insult to the local populace.
Where is the improvement to this deprived town and its run down centre.

There is a fully agreed neighbourhood plan and this does not feature in that plan. This is a step back for an improving town.

Winsford has enough problems with crime without building a potential breakout of more from the prison. It should be built out in the middle of nowhere. It is really frightening to think it would be so close to residential homes. I am absolutely disgusted that us the public have not been informed of this before now.

Winsford is currently fighting against its negative label. We need to know how it will benefit the area known to have comparable inner city deprivation.

Would be devesatated if a prison was built in my area, my husband and I saved for years to own our own home, now to be told we could potentially be living next door to a prison! I wouldn't have bought here having known that so some others will inevitably feel the same way!

This is not something that should even be considered in our town. It will have such a negative impact in so many ways and i will be truely disappointed if the council go ahead with this. Im about to have my first child and have been looking for a my first home in the winsford area and have lived in winsford with my parents for 23 years. I was finally starting to see the town flourish and had high hopes for the future but i certainly will not buy a property in this area if any form of prison is built here. I no my family will agree very strongly with what i have said and will also not want to stay in this town which they have lived and loved there whole lives.

Why can't we have something nice to tell our friends and family where we live. Why should Winsford get the bottom of the barrel all the time. We are fed up with it!

Instead of using space which is valuable space for future jobs, promote local businesses, encourage companies to bring their business to this region - instead of putting off new business and future jobs.

A prison will have a severe negative impact on businesses coming to the Ind Estate. The money for the prison should be spent on the Town Center facilities. Why was this project being sneaked through the backdoor and residents found out by mistake?

There are many women, such as my wife that have to walk home in the dark durring the winter months when they have finnished working on the industrial estate. Now she will have a prison on the same industrial estate. .. wages are low.. she is afraid enought when walking home.... This proposal as just made it worse!
