WHAT AN INSULT TO WINSFORD RESIDENTS, WHEN CWCC CAN ONLY PROVIDE A PRISON TO THEIR TOWN AND NORTHWICH HAVING A COMPLETE REVAMP OF ALL TOWN FACILITIES. E.G. NEW SHOPS, RESTAURANTS, MARINA, CINEMA & CAR PARKING FACILITIES!

This should definitely have a consultation. It's extremely unfair to plan changes to a community without first consulting them and listening to their thoughts.

why dont they build it around the chester area, along with their travellers sites, or is that too much for their sensitivities. if they want to build something in Winsford, what about a decent shopping centre, instead of the half derelict one we have now.

House prices in Winsford are bound to fall if a prison is built nearby. Council members should work for the benefit of those whose pay their wages.

Winsford does not need a prison - we need positive developments for the town, improvements to the town centre, better transport links etc.
The last thing we need is something of more detriment to the town

I do not want to live near a prison in winsford and oppose any decision to build one.

Seriously? I moved to Winsford from Macclesfield 16 years ago because Macc was becoming a dump. Winsford, despite the Council's best efforts is a far nicer place to live, although it's sadly in need of some of the money that's been poured into the likes of Crewe and Northwich over the past few years, not a bloody prison!
I wonder what the legal precedent would be if we all get our houses valued now and put a claim in for the loss of value if this goes ahead?

Winsford does not need a prison building its already got enough problems. It's so unfair to expect the people of the town to have this inflicted on them. I totally object to this.

Winsford is in need of regeneration not a prison to further drag down its reputation. It appears that whenever CWAC have to nominate a site for something unpopular then Winsford is always top of the list. I have 3 children and if a prison were to be built would look to move out of winsford as I'm sure would many people and businesses.

Northwich get millions for new town centre revamp and we get a prison! Put some money into our town before everyone leaves
