Its the lack of democratic consultation that is the question here. The general public (you and I etc) have to follow an eight week (plus) planning process whereby neighbours and the public can make a representation. It seems that CW&C are circumnavigating their own (and national) proceedure. We have just left an undemocratic EU and yet our local council are running along the same lines.

Schools get knocked down, sports centres knocked down, town centre is a rubble which needs a total revamp, explosions of new houses with nothing to do for the residents, then there is one of the longest standing industrial estates left which they want to now destroy. Well done council and that neighbourhood watch is the biggest joke I've known in life.

Winsford as a town is dire enough through bad planning and management. You have already tore the heart out of it with a so called by-pass that didn't by pass anything!!! The infrastructure is non-existent even though the council is planning another 500 plus houses. The 'shopping centre' leaves much to be desired. It seems to me that money speaks louder than words! Carry on taking the incentives and continue to spoil the environment like you have been doing and sit back in your comfy armchairs and watch the town go from bad to worse. No to a prison, many residents feel like they already live in one!!!

Yet another nail in Winsfords coffin. Note to housebuilders.... Dont bother building new houses in Winsford because no one wants to live here anymore.

There's already a prison in Warrington which is close enough.
They should be built way outside of towns for the safety of the resident's.

The town does not have adequate facilities for its own residents, let alone for those travelling through it. Winsford is not a dumping ground and as a life long resident I strongly oppose the proposal of a prison which could potentially lower house prices and increase the crime rate.

Stop using our town to dump your less desirable plans. Out of sight (of the more desirable affluent areas)out of mind (CWAC) won't wash with Winsford residents.
