This is just awful news! Please do not let this go ahead! Let Chester have the rubbish for a change!!!! Absolutely bloody awful! I will be selling up!!!

I fully a pose the decision to try and place a prison of some forms, due to 'our winsfords' vision of expanding the manufacturing facility on the industrial estate which will ignite the flame of employment .....
If it needs putting in Winsford, put it next to the police headquarters..makes more sense

Horrified that this industrial space can be used for this. We need more businesses and jobs in Winsford not a prison.

This town needs more paying jobs and needs to be made better I think having a prison in winsford would make it 10x worse

Why Winsford? I live in the blight area for hs2 so house will be worth much less than it's worth now so a prison nearby would not help!

The town is bad enough now without adding to its woes. Invest more in reinvigoration of the centre and better shopping and restaurants/bars

It is the very last thing Winsford needs. All the regeneration funding is being spent in Northwich. What positive moves are being made here for the next generation? The parks are being closed down, the town centre has become a wreck, the employment situation is dire. How will a prison improve anything? It is also too close to family housing and primary schools.
