WINSFORD DOES NOT NEED A NEW PRISON. THEY SHOULD BE BUILT OUT OF TOWN IN DEEP RURAL AREAS OF LOW POPULATION. OUR INDUSTRIAL ESTATE IS THRIVING SURLEY IT DOESNT NEED A PRISON BUILDING. NORTHWICH IS CURRENTLY HAVING £129MILLION SPENT ON ITS WATERFRONT AND TOWN CENTRE, Winsford has had £3Million spent on a new school and a bloody road junction. Our local councillors should be ashamed that its taken Antoinette Sandbach a Tory MP to bring this to the attention of us the Public. Do we not have any councillors with morals in Winsford.

Of course the public should be completely involved and consulted over any proposals like this....that directly effect their community!

OUTRAGEOUS!!!! all the positive investment in surrounding area's and Winsford again gets the brunt of bad policy making. I am suspicious about some of the planning consents over recent years. How did the Lorry car park at the back of Bradbury road ever get passed. People living there one day woke up to rabbits bobbing along and the following day huge HGV's. The town centre is the dregs of social decline with outrageous rents! The schools are overcrowded but Handley hill shut! Where is Winsford's investment..oh yes a flipping prison!

Absolutely ridiculous planning as usual by CWAC. I absolutely oppose this plan. We need a public hearing well advertised not esoteric. I have lived in Winsford for nearly 50 years and watched it deteriorate to a 'build houses anywhere town' and 'a charity shop town centre'. It needs rejuvenating and the young people need more facilities. I taught in Winsford for twenty years and the young people had more sense than the councillors!! Would CWAC build a prison near Whitegate or Vale Royal Abbey?? Maybe Tarporley or Kelsall?!

I say no to a prison in winsford I live near the industrial estate,and the this is the last thing we need in winsford,we should not let cheshire West and Chester council pass any planning of this sort without the consent of the winsford people.

The proposed prison in Winsford is not in keeping with the local area plan and the very notion of it should never have been entertained.
