What sort of moron comes up with a plan to build a prison in the middle of an industrial estate with easy access to transport and both rail and road infrastructures? A disaster waiting to happen.
We already have enough dodgy characters residing around Rilshaw Lane.
If it must be built in Winsford, why not as an extension to the shiny new fancy police station we've paid a fortune for.

This is the last thing we need. Our town has a bad name as it is without the added stigma of being a small town which houses a prison. I think this should be the choice of the residents, bring it to a town vote.

when a Hand Car Wash is turned down because it doesn't give a good 'vision' for Winsford then what will a prison do, Prisons need to be away from populated areas and away from good road systems and this includes more than 20 minutes from an airport. The residents of Winsford also want and are entitled to a 'vision' also.

Town is not big enough to house a prison. Build it off the motorway in a field far away from town life

Both CWACC and CEC must cease to consider Winsford/Middlewich area to be a convenient dumping ground for these 'unpopular' projects.

This is not what Winsford needs right now - it needs its shopping centre bringing back to life and more leisure facilities with all the new property being built.

Winsford appears to be the dumping ground for anything CWAC knows will be controversial. If this goes ahead, there will be no need to build new houses because residents will move out in droves.

I would most certainly move away if there was a prison built in my home town.
I have lived here my whole life. But that would make me feel unsafe in our town.

Winsford already has a bad enough reputation for being rough. Why bring it down even more?

I do not agree to a prison in our area. We seem to have too much going on in are area with building work and houses built in the area. It is a small part of Cheshire, that can't cope with what is happening so far. Let another part of the country have the prison like the south they don't seem to have any building work going on. No to a prison in Winsford.
