I do not think Winsford is a suitable site for a prison, as an area it is in greater need of redevelopment to improve it and its surroundings for the benefit of the locals and residents

i wouldnt like a prison in winsford as i wud feel my children wouldnt be safe this town centre is relaxed but i feel a prison would put a whole different feel on us and i wouldnt want to live here anymore

Why invite even.more criminals into the town? Use the money pm our children's future. A better town centre, an arcade, cinema, bowling something to make Winsford nice instead of a slum. So many houses, so little to entertain

This is not on the public domain. When and how are the residents to be consulted. I am appalled that in this family Cheshire town they could ever consider building a prison. What about the security of residents ? There are plenty of brown field sites in cities with better transport links where this would be better sited. Money before residents security and concerns. Shame on Cheshire West.

This is ludicrous. Winsford has always been treated badly with its undeserved bad reputation. House prices have always been poor even though it has so much going for it. Look at the beautiful river weaver walks and leisure facilities like the lifestyle centre. All of this needs developing further. By building a prison there will put the town further into disrupte and will encourage low life's into the community. Put it in the middle of nowhere and leave Winsford alone. It needs money investing into it like Northwich and not bringing down any further.

Once again Winsford is being used as the "easy option".
It pisses me off so much that the "money places" at the other side of the M6 are never considered for things like this.
Dump all the scum in Winsford and Crewe. Allow all the gypsy sites.
The town is slowly dying.
A prison will finish it off completely.

Signing to rule out a prison in winsford ! Absolutely ludicrous idea ! If money needs spending then I suggest another school or a cinema , ice ring, the shopping centre could do with s massive make over , shops etc , that would also bring jobs in the town
