Call on Cheshire West and Chester Council to consult on proposed prison in Winsford

A preposterous idea to suggest that Winsford should have a prison built here. It has enough of a problem in raising its profile without such nonsense.

We need to encourage business to the area not use land for a prison!

Winsford doesn't need a new prison. The space can be used in much more useful ways.

This will result in business & employment opportunities elsewhere - time to look after WINSFORD. Build it in Ellesmere Port - oh no they won't will they and we all know why or rather who won't let it.

No consultation yet again. Why run the town down even more. You need to be building it up not using it as a dumping area. Winsford needs money spending on it but not in this way.

I love Winsford, I feel safe, that will change if a prison is built, this town needs a few million spent on it like Northwich, we need more shops... asda is run down and so is the town centre, sort them out and we have a great place to live, don't sort them out and build a prison and we will have to consider leaving.

We should be considered as residents and tax payers.

This town has had hundreds of new houses built for hundreds of new families, what this town needs is a big new supermarket to cater for all, not a prison, Northwich is getting millions spent on it, who ever is running for Winsford needs serious help and funds. You can't build hundreds of 250k houses with no supermarkets our town is a joke and now some idiot as come up with the idea of a prison let's add insult to injury for winsford

We do not want a prison in Winsford. Winsford name is slowly improving please do not set it back by introducing a prison

i would never of brought my house and set up my family in winsford if I knew that we were going to be living next to a prison and for them to not even ask the community of winsford what they think is disgusting! Nice of all the surrounding councils to join together and pick winsford as the place to hold a prison . Absolutely disgusted to hear this news
