Developed countries need to catch the bull by the horn and tame it. The burden cannot be put on developing countries who suffer the most. President Trump should become more literate on this issue and US as the world leader should lead even on the issue of climate change and take effective steps

Action Plan should call an immediate halt to all projects involving the conversion of land and water commons and also agricultural land, to urban-industrial and speculative uses, re-deploying existing funding to environmental rehabilitation and emergency provision of basic needs; cut-back to zero-fossil fuel extraction within 3 years and mandate the obligatory linking of money-supply/debt to the current carrying capacity of the biosphere, also within 3 years.
Time and the scale and scope of actions is of the essence at this critical juncture in our history.

From Saral
(1) Not only economic growth, but also population growth must be stopped.
(2) Corporations will definitely try to hinder any effort to that end. All efforts must be put through ignoring their resistance.
(3) Individual lifestyle changes are the first step toward more global efforts.

We are fast approaching POINT OF NO RETURN, unless we have not already crossed it. Hence immediate and substantial action is a must for the survival of humankind. And the UN, as the most credible global collective has the prime responsibility to prevent this imminent catasrophe

We need something much more ambitious than a Marshall plan, this time for the whole Earth - not just for the humans on it but for all life. Will the UN fail as it has done more often than not, or could this be the moment it redeems itself?

It's critical that we start to act on the problem immediately. It's still not too late to try and make a difference.

It is already too late. Forget about GDP, and start taking steps to protect our children.
