Towanna Murphy is such a hateful and racist person. She shouldn’t work with vulnerable children. She must be fired! FIRED!

Somebody needs to show that they care for the children they're responsible for and remove the poison and replace it with real leadership and professionalism.

Tawana Murphy’s actions have shown a clear lack of integrity and accountability. Our community deserves leaders who are honest, respectful, and truly have the people’s best interests at heart. It’s time for change.

School board is no place to proper conduct. If she does not know by now, she is in the position. She is in a position to influence young people. She must go

Enough is enough. Blacks/African Americans cannot and should not be allowed to be a part of any public forum, if they choose to indulge in racist antics. We of all people should understand the pain of racial profiling

We need new members who care about the children and won't pocket the money. We as parents have to constantly buy teachers supplies for the classroom because the funding for teachers and supplies is constantly being cut. MSCS has one of if not the largest budget of 1.8 billion and it is not going to the students of Memphis or the teachers.

Racism is not tolerable!!

We have enough negativity in this world. We don't anyone dealing with out children that can't keep control of their emotions.

Racism should never be allowed. I can't imagine how the Hispanic communities who have children attending MSCS feel. This was ugly and unnecessary. How can we trust the decisions she makes going forward isn't racially motivated? We can't. The children of Memphis/Shelby deserve better. The deserve a learning environment that does stand idly by as one of staff openly and loudly says racist things.

T. Murphy was a very poorly selection for the school district from the very beginning. I guess her background didn’t matter on decision making for children. Citizens please do your research on anyone running for any position in this city and county. We as citizens have made some very poor choices.

Her behavior is unacceptable as a representative of the Memphis school board.

Can't do this job if you don't care about our undocumented students or participate in racial bullying.
