Human rights are the rights to make intelligent decisions based on facts and not fear tactics!

Wearing a mask should be an option as it’s a health issue. You have no right to make people wear mask in any place but government establishments.

We need to send our kids to school so we can more quickly develop herd immunity ... once we develop herd immunity we will be immune !!! Hello Mary !!! You can run ( or wear a mask) but you cannot hide . The virus isn’t what is killing people ! We all have billions of viruses in us. People are dying of pneumonia ... treat the pneumonia as soon as symptoms appear . !!! We need our politicians and health care workers to understand viruses ... we are being told a lot of incorrect information .

This does nothing to help our Ohana.

Whoever made this proclamation knows nothing about microbiology. I'm a retired doctor and won't be wearing a mask. If I was coughing, a mask would reduce the sputum dispersal slightly, but not stop viruses, in or out of the mask. Instead of demanding (useless) masks, make a proclamation that if you're coughing/sick stay home!

I am no aware of any research done which confirms that face masks make a difference in spreading Covid. However it escalates the issue to the new level of hysteria which is counterproductive measure in keeping the community healthy. Mahalo for your consideration

Please stop this insanity

They make it hard to breath is this already hot and humid climate. Quarantines are for isolating the sick. Quarantining healthy people is Communism. Many beleive this is psychological warfare by putting a muzzle on persons during a time the community needs to be in supportive communication with each other about what is happening in the world. Persons should also be allowed to sit on the beaches with household family members if they maintain social distancing. This is an unnecessary measure. If flights were cancelled, everyone on the island could be free and safe. Why cage everyone and allow the virus to fly in on the daily? This action does not make sense. Please reconsider and let persons such as landscapers get back to work. The government can not afford to pick up the tab for those who have been put out of work. Mahalo for your thoughtful consideration.

Cloth Mask protects no one from anything!

I work in the health care field. A cloth mask has absolutely no protection for the wearer or the public and offers a false sense of security. We should only wear masks that are approved by the CDC, which is N95, but almost impossible to acquire. If the mayor wants us to wear a mask at least provide us with the proper mask. I myself have a proper mask, but most people don’t. Where are all the masks that were donated?
