Call for Kauai County to Remove Face Mask Requirement

Cloth Face masks do not prevent or protect you from a virus. Very concerning to me that they may cause over heating, Kauai’s heat and humidity is perfect breeding ground for germs. Just NO!

The insanity needs to end.

One size does not fit all

Masks should not be required. There are doctors speaking out against the wearing of them. Suppressed intake of Co2 can depress the immune system. Please let people make their own personal choice if they want to wear a mask or not. Thank you, Chanterelle

The cloth masks are ineffective. It’s too hot to wear a face mask. Healthy people don’t need a face mask. In fact, wearing a face mask defeats the purpose because you’re touching your face all the time to adjust the mask because you’re uncomfortable, sweat, fog up glasses and cannot breathe. Hence, many people are not wearing mask covering their noses. Truly, if everyone were to wear a mask, the most reliable and comfortable are the blue masks from a doctors office. And these are disposable so one gets rid of the germs. Purchase these masks for the Kauai community if you are so concerned of asymptomatic spread. This would be the most logical sense. But our numbers on Kauai reflect that since mid March, we have no community spread. Travelers have plummeted. We are isolated. According to the new CDC and federal guidelines, as of Friday, April 17, those states and counties that have less than 1000 cases can begin the 3 phases to open up our community. Kauai should be going straight to phase 2 considering we only had 21 cases, no new cases in almost 2 weeks and 0 deaths since March 13. We are a healthy community. Let Kauai community go back to work and living. Continue the 14 days quarantine on all inner island and mainland and international flights as many tourists are anticipated back as other states begin their 3 phases to open up their counties. And track, track, track TBRA all. Continue sending back the mainland’s homeless and people who have no place to quarantine. Herd immunity is essential. Our kids are number one in making sure herd immunity is accomplished by socializing in school. They help their parents and elders to gain immunity. Viruses and bacteria occur naturally in living animals, humans. There function is to cleanse toxins from our bodies. Maintaining a strong immunity system prevents naturally occurring viruses and bacteria from making one sick. Kauai is a wonderful place to grow gardens hence, healthy vegetables and frui

We live in a free country we don’t have to wear a shirt mask it’s suggested to wear them.

The tests are flawed and do not equal "an infection", so counting is false and lock down unnecessary.

Its ridiculous to ask people to wear a mask. Oblige them when it doesnt help. Its an infringement on our freedom as human beings. How about forcing people to be healthy, eat organic foods instead..

Give us back our civil rights... start making decisions based upon facts not fears... there have been NO new cases in the past days, so why add an unnecessary and faulty decision that affects us all.
