Owing to the cold and indifferent attitude of the federal and provincial government, the University of Engineering and Technology, to maintain its financial sustainability, has taken back the concession provided to the graduate students in their tuition fees. The outstanding dues being 1,33,000 PKR for 2010 and 2011 sessions while 1,68,000 PKR for 2012 and 2013 session, which is quite difficult to pay back by majority of the students at the campus. The petition is a humble request to the Government of Pakistan to look into the matter and take necessary actions to make the institute financially stable. And a request to and by the UETians to fight for their right.

This policy is agains the rules on which we were given admissions. If university has financial issues, then they should talk to govt. to resolve rather then disturbing our lives

Uet is Love for students of Pakistan but poor policies of the provincial and federal Governments are responsible for making such a High Ranked institute out of reach of a middle class or poor student :(

It's a shame for the university in contrast to what they have provided us and what they are asking for . (Blackmailing passed out students of 2009 to pay outstanding dues )

Its a shame that they can spend billions on useless laptop, danish school and metro bus projects but have nothing to spend on education...the writing is clear on the wall that education is the not priority of this government. Its a wake up call for our youth to take their right and fight till the end, we will stand behind you Insha Allah.

That`s really shameful when in other countries they`re thinking of making education free and in our country, we are thinking of putting the burden of all expenses of public sector institutes upon students.
