The undersigned are calling for additional police officers to be permanently assigned to the 16th District. We would like assurances, in writing, that 16th District police who are permanently assigned to the district remain assigned to the district and are NOT reassigned to other areas of the city. We need a consistent number of regular patrol officers to keep our community safe. Pulling officers from our ward to serve other parts of the city leaves the far Northwest Side of Chicago at risk. We are calling for our full complement of police resources to protect our community.

The massive surge in support proves the people are sick of being ignored by City Hall while our neighborhood is left vulnerable. Mayor Emanuel and Superintendent Johnson cannot keep stripping our resources and expecting us to stay quiet about it.

It is getting crazy out here. We pay enough in taxes to have our own district covered properly. Keep them in the 16th where they belong.
I dont feel safe walking my dog at night anymore. Need more patrols on the streets ASAP. Fix this now.

Ridiculous that they keep shipping our guys downtown. We need them here protecting our neighborhood. Enough is enough.
