I seriously feel offended by this kind of festivals that promote racism if this people feel they are above God and any other race in this country or world then they should back up and go Namibia is no place for such groups of people that still think they are superior to others in any way. Pack and go we don't need such social behavior in this country.

As a white young adult raised in Namibia, I find this behaviour (both of the youths and the AZ) completely disgusting and unacceptable. Shame on you all.

This is not the first time AZ has done something of this nature and i think a criminal case should be opened against the people in 'uniform' the legal remedies are there but not being applied. for those who think 'its not a big deal' or KKK was never in Namibia, then you clearly don't know about the term UBUNTU which is indebted in us because of the same past we share, there are other social ills we face but we are currently challenging this one before we move on to the next. I personally feel the AZ paper should be closed down all together . Hopefully going forward Namibia will have removed all statues, street names ect that does not identify to our well being so we can tell our future children a better story, as history can never be erased, its history that leads us to where we are now Also this is not an attack on all Germans living in Namibia!!

Disrespectful - no matter where it happened. one would have thought that we as a world (and decent citizens) could have moved on from this and be trying to live a less discriminating life....Maybe they could have been really imaginative as opposing copying someone else's outfit...

Hazel Grace, apart from speaking on behalf of the privileged/ ignorant your comment makes zero sense. Thank you for telling us that in 2015 people are still willing to be blatantly racially and culturally insensitive. Why don't you try going dressed as a Nazi next year, you can tell all the Jews that because the Holocaust didn't happen in Namibia they should get over it and stop bringing up the past... Just because you may not understand, don't invalidate the experiences and feelings of others by telling them they're ''suppose to be over it''.

I don't understand why you all are going on about this. This is Namibia, not America. The KKK was in America not in Africa!! Go do your History again. Get your facts straight. You are all going on about the KKK but you were not even there when the KKK existed nor were you part of the KKK group to know what they did. This is 2015 people, we are suppose to be over all that shit, you are the people who bring up things from the past which should not be "dug open".It was an innocent dress up, I bet you all that you would also dress up as something that would "offend" other races in their country. You think what anyone writes on this page is racist but in fact they are not. You are judging a person before you even get to know them.
You all say that we are an equal and independent country but the way you are all acting shows that we are still not equal, you are showing and stating that we are still living in a racist country. You are just stating that you are two faced. You might have known one of those persons who dressed up and now are saying that they are racist and you don't want to be friends with them.
You are going on about just a little thing instead of big things like the crimes in South Africa. I say let the Americans go on about this not Namibians because the KKK never even existed in Namibia.
