Let’s work on finding a more appropriate size net for 9/10 year old goalies before we drop down to half ice games. Without a change in net size, a half sheet of ice, the game will slow way down and not in a good way. Too much time will be spent fishing the puck out of the net and could negatively affect player performance and enthusiasm for the game.

At 10U I want my son to play real hockey. Please don’t change to half ice. It would be so disappointing.

Could see an argument about jamboree format that comes with 1/2 ice making travel more efficient and removing some burden on families, but I don't think any benefit from that is worth putting off learning the full ice game & rules another 2 years.

They are 10 years of age let them be conditioned in full ice rink.

No comment needed. It’s just a way to get more kids on the ice. More kids on the ice = more money. Hockey is a skating game.

My son already competes full ice and is likely staying in squirts next year and this would be a huge step back and would push me to have him play up to be on full ice

I like half ice for 8U and under, but 10U kids can handle full ice and should be allowed to show that.

Let them play. 8u should be full ice & isn't. Don't make 10u be half ice that'll hold them back.

Half ice shouldn’t even belong in 9U tier 1 let alone 10U. Size of the kids at that age and 5v5 does not mix with half ice play.

absolutely not! please keep 10U as is! our son has been waiting to go to full ice for the experience. Please do not take it half ice.
