Dear California DNC Members,
We the undersigned, residents of the state of California, do hereby express our support for Representative Keith Ellison for the position of DNC Chair. We urge you to vote for Keith in the upcoming election; he is the right leader at the right time for our party.
In the aftermath of November’s election of Donald Trump, we are all still reeling. The first days of Trump’s presidency have marked tremendous crises of concern for issues of human rights, and have been completely at odds with our most important American values. The responsibility of asking how this could have happened falls heavily on our shoulders.
If the Democratic Party is to remain relevant with those in our country who feel politically alienated, as though D.C. is aloof from their very real, very pressing everyday needs, then it’s clear we must take a new direction. The results of November’s election tell us very clearly that the status-quo isn’t working for The People. It’s imperative that we listen to their concerns, and respond with the full assurances that Democrats will do everything in their power to stand up for real Americans over Wall Street and special interests.
The massive protests that have sprung up across this country recently at the grassroots level is exactly the type of energy and enthusiasm Democrats should hope to channel in order to see our candidates win elections up and down the ballot. Keith Ellison knows this. His background in community activism and organizing, and in successful fundraising, will play a critical role in reshaping the party’s strategy for the future.
Vote for Keith, and let’s get to work in transforming this party into what it can be. It’s time to take this country back.

I used to be a California democrat until the 2016 primary showed how dysfunctional and corrupt the DNC is. Electing Keith Ellison to chair the DNC would go a long way to healing some of the wounds from 2016.
We need a true progressive like Keith Ellison for DNC Chair. Ellison has often and effectively used his voice to campaign on behalf of social and financial justice and if we want to beat back the right, we need someone who understands this on a grassroots level and who isnt afraid to venture into areas where the party has not been traditionally successful. Keith Ellison is that candidate.
Many of us are giving the DNC a second chance to reform itself and go in a new grassroots direction by choosing Keith Ellison to be the new DNC chair. If the party does not do this, however, we will leave the Democratic Party permanently and start a new party. We need a party that represents the people, not just the elites. The Dem Party will lose millions of members and become a fringe party. The choice is yours, CA DNC members. Please make the right one.
Support Keith Ellison...the most progressive of the current candidates for the DNC Chair. It is clear that the only way Democrats can take back the houses and the presidency is with a bold progressive message...no more status quo.
I support Keith Ellison. I strongly suggest the DNC make the necessary "reforms" to bring the party back to grassroots and honor Bernie Sanders' endorsement.
We finally need a DNC that will act and not continue to allow things to happen, like the 2016 Elecction.
We need a powerful progressive voice.

Ellison is the man for the job if Democrats want new energy and a united party. If not, dems will lose even more than they already have and the US will be lost to conservatism. The Kochs will have won.
