This layout on the road from the town centre to castle is really dangerous.I have already seen 2 near accidents on the blind bend by the church. The whole skim is an eyesore.how much did it cost to make this mess .

In my opinion The road is dangerous , the amount of money spent on it could have been put to much better use & the pot holes are getting bigger by the day but instead of resurfacing the whole road the layout has been changed to no ones advantage as far as I can see .

whoever is responsible for the design of these works knows nothing of the design manuals for urban roads and footways. Who will carry the responsibility when someone gets injured?

Dangerous at junction of church Road and chepstow Road ,people think its still a pedestrianised area. Traffic not slowing down on main through . Something needs to be done before there's a serious accident there

No thought to safety for the elderly or children. Some kids have been told they have right of way. No one has told motorists if this is true.

Beside it being dangerous, it does not even look nice the yellow is now black and the drains are a disgrace and you cannot see signs printed on road as there is people parking there residents who live there .. utter waste of money, resources, when you could be cutting GRASS as the whole place looks like a dump ... we should all stop paying our over expensed council tax ... if you going to do something do it properly or not bother or are Caldicot people not worthy ????? And simply have to put up with it. ??? This would not happen in Shirenewton or Devauden or parts of Chepstow so why do we have to put up with it ??

Church road has always been a bit of a nightmare. The road narrowings have only made things worse. The works completed look nothing line the original renderings provided to residents. And considering the poor state of the road surface all the way from the cross to taff road roundabout why has the entire road not been resurfaced as part of the works? Absolutely shocking !

Yesterday, 14/6/21, I was leaving the castle and there were 2 delivery vans by the church gate, one jutting completely into the road. The ARW school bus was coming towards them and two cars were trying to pass, outside the Castle Inn. They both had to mount the pavement to let the bus through. An absolute shambles!

Terrible workmanship and quality of works.
Very poorly thought out design, mixing moving vehicles, pedestrians and parked vehicles, with no clear markings or clear lines of sight. New Road surface has already worn away, with shiny patches exposed. Pedestrian access from school open onto road.
Church Road is not a quiet side street, it is a busy main road, with more housing, access and traffic to follow.
No thought in the design for safety of pedestrians, who I believe it was intended to benefit.
