The work on Church Road is below standard. Its not anything like the designs we were shown. We need the whole road relaid not bits and pieces. Also safety issues addressed.

I live at No. 32 and agree that MCC should rectify this death trap they have caused. I now have cars driving on the pavement directly in front of my driveway as all the pavement and road is at the same level.
This is unacceptable and I will be parking my truck at the bottom of my drive which will partly block the road if it does not get resolved.

The road as it’s been left is dangerous - it’s been dangerous for years but these sections of road narrowing will increase risk.
It will also restrict the traffic from flowing at peak times leading to even worse congestion than is normal. Why build obstacles into the road when it was hard enough to pass through anyway?
Some parts of the road are badly in need of resurfacing and have been for years. These sections of road are highly dangerous.
Lastly, what have the workmen been doing? Do they get paid by the hour? They’ve taken six months to finish three short sections of road narrowing causing disruption to residents and delays to anyone passing through. Entire estates happen faster!

What a waste of money. Basically paid fo endanger human lives. Particularly children with the change in civil materials from public highway and footpaths not being clear. Also, traffic will become much worse in the area meaning more pollution from cars sat still with engines running. Whoever planned out the design is incompetent and my 12 year old could have come up with a more user friendly and safe layout

The standard of work is outrageous, made church road worse than before. Why leave potholes and broken speed bumps. Painted slow school sign where people park there cars.

Awful finish to the yellow road surfacing
No right of way signage to the now narrower roads at the point of the restricted parts of the road
Really poor and I’d suggest MCC Procurement / Contracts team sort it out

The road is now more dangerous than ever before. Emailed MCC before and during the supposed regeneration of the road but was only told they had funding to improve church road to make the road more inviting for people to visit the castle. Absolute waste of money as people who want to visit the castle would do anyway. And when asked about the state of the rest of church road, they didnt have funding for that
