Foster carers are the backbone of childcare in this country.Without their comittment and care some of our most vulnerable children would not get the love and support they so desperatley need..Give them the conditions they deserve

Foster Carers provide a vital service and as such any cut in fees and allowances may only drive them away from working with the local authority towards working through an independent fostering agency instead which in turn could have a severe negative impact on the councils financial budget.

Stop the cuts to foster carers' terms of fostering, which would essentially see them put on zero hours contracts, which is unacceptable.

The private agencies must be rubbing their hands together!! Carers will jump ship and the council will end up paying double for the same carers - brainless!!

It's disgusting treatment of foster carers who welcome other peoples children into their own home & start the healing process for them with love & care. I challenge those making the decisions to take a child into their home for 1 month & then tell me what carers should be paid!!

It is a disgrace that foster carers are being penalised. There are children who need support at the most difficult times of their lives. Foster carers provide this and should be paid properly for the job they do. They should be paid much more, not less.

First we get a cut to holidays. Next there is no payment for level one Foster Carers. Then they cut your wage as soon as a child leaves. How can this attract new carers? Not to mention no increase for carers who only take one child but everyone else gets an uplift

Being a Foster Carer is a very difficult job and I don't think you realise how much work and effort is put in to support these children emotionally and psychically. They don't need to be worried about income as well.

I currently work on a zero hours contract as a respite FC and find it extremely hard to make ends meet. B aringbin mind that essential parts of the job like paper work, meetings with sw and training also take place and not time that is paid for either.
