Single Payer is a solution to the CA State’s current fiscal crisis. It will save $9 billion in the first year and billions annually afterward. Currently one third of the state budget is related to healthcare which could be cut by one third to one half with a Single Payer system, saving billions of taxpayer dollars. This is the truth. The spin: The $200 billion price tag for SB 810 is incorrect - this is money already spent on healthcare – not a new expenditure, so there is no change. Remember with Single Payer you keep your doctors, dentists and other providers and just get rid of your insurance company. So what do we need to do now to save California businesses, government and individuals lots and lots of money? We need to organize and let our representatives in Sacramento know that we support the Single Payer health system and that we don't want to let private insurance companies to continue ruining the lives of our state private citizens and small businesses.
