The idea of being offended by something as minute as the name on a building is just egregious. Why are college students becoming such sensitive snowflakes these days? As a former wolverine, I'm embarrassed to be associated with those whose intolerance leads to such radical action. This is a censoring of the freedom of expression stemming from stupid liberal left wing demagoguery. I hope this petition fails miserably and those who support it remain miserable.

The Earth department is where I'm earning my degree at the university and I am ashamed that it's building is still named after a eugenicist

Let's tell the "TRUTH THE WHOLE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!"
The civil rights leader, Fannie Lou Hamer, was the childhood victim of a eugenics procedure. Perhaps the new name for the building can be dedicated in memory of ""Fannie Lou Hamer"!

I support these brave and committed educators.
I endorse the analysis.
They affirm the value of the education I received at the hands of Terrence J. McDonald, Martin Pernick and too many other amazing faculty.
This group of scholars constitute a key center in our understanding of health sciences and inequality in society. I admire their effort to make their scholarship relevant to our lives.

Eugenicists should not get to be memorialized at this University. We already have a lot of work to do to make our campus culture somewhere where marginalized people feel welcome---this is a simple gesture. Not forcing people to face the name of someone who argued for their sterilization is a low bar, but we aren't even there yet.
