I would think that the people who allowed the eyesore that is the Ferry gangway would have only positive reactions to someone prepared to invest in the seafronts buildings

I visit the island regularly and hate to see empty buildings just rotting away. If someone, someday wants to pay for wooden windows they could. But for now let's just get on with it.

I would rather see a thriving business with new windows than an empty boarded up building

the square looks awful, the whole place needs to be improved, it is indeed a sad sight coming off the ferry these days, why stop people trying to improve the area
