Darfur is located in Sudan. Sudan is located in Africa. Sudan is east of Chad, north of Uganda and south of Egypt. Darfur has been in a genocide for over three years. At least 400,000 people have been killed; more than 2 million civilians have been forced to flee their homes and now live in displacement camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in Chad (which is west of Sudan) More than 3.5 million men, women, and children are depending on international aid for survival. On September 9, 2004, the United States Secretary of State Colin Powell termed the Darfur conflict a "genocide", admitting it as one of the worst humanitarian crises of the 21st century. The U.S and other nations have to take action to end this genocide. President George W. Bush has giving Sudan too many chances to stop the genocide. President Bush spoke at a press conference about Darfur. Sadly, even though he finally offered some specifics about what "Plan B" will be, he once again stopped short of enacting and applying the needs to make Sudan cooperate. President Bush agreed to give Sudan one more last chance. President Bush has to stop giving Sudan chances. They need to stop this genocide or more people are going to die. After the holocaust leaders were saying that another holocaust or genocide will never happen again. But it kind of is happening in Darfur. The U.S is refusing to help to end this, and it needs to end now. The people of Darfur are living in unsanitary conditions.
