I visit Altea five times a year. I love to sit outside and view the wonderful town and its hills and seafront. If I sit inside I could be anywhere.

It is a disgrace that the town hall is doing this. Obviously the town of Altea does NOT want any more money coming in as in tourisim.

this law will ruin businesses in Altea and will cause hardship to owners. It doesn't make sense

Altea will never become a Benidorm, What are you thinking of at the town hall, Keep that wonderful atmosphere of the old town, People enjoying a meal & drink in the lovely bars & restaurants, This is what Altea is about, As a customer of AlteArte, a much loved Bar, Art centre, book club, Spanish conversational exchange & many more activitis. Please do not remove the very important street tables & chairs, which bring together so many nationalties.

There appears to be no reasonable explanation for this new, inconsistently-applied policy. It is adversely affecting revenue for Altea, tourists, business owners and employees (or now laid-off employees) and locals. I have been unable to find outdoor seating at several favorite venues including but not limited to AlteArte, Tapitas Jazz, Xef Pirata, Fronton Playa, and many more. If not revoked, this new policy will attract international media attention, and discourage tourists from choosing Altea as a destination, and locals are considering alternate nearby entertainment locations such as Albir, and others.

I live in Altea & nothing gives me more pleasure than being able to go down to the sea front & sit outside in the fresh air & have a drink & something to eat..Taking table & chairs from outside of bars would be terrible for the patrons & the owners...Lesley Jones

I love sitting having a drink on Altea sea front. It's one of the main reasons I come to the town.

Unglaublich, incredible, insoportable. Altea is such a nice place and all the People outside in the terraces give it it´s Special charme. That´s how Spanish live works. Outside in the streetes with a drink and talking to the others.

El Ayuntamiento prefiere NO tener turistas en Alte?
