We ask that the City of Toronto focus more time and attention on building supportive housing for those recovering from Mental Illnesses. After being discharged from treatment, many people are forced into homelessness because they cannot immediately pick up there life from where they left off. Currently charities like Houselink are working to build more supportive housing in Toronto, but there are many difficulties that come along with that. We think the City of Toronto should spend more resources on ensuring the success of projects like Houselink that focus their attention on helping those who are recovering from life changing mental illnesses
