My family moved to Banwell 70 years ago and a by-pass was being talked about then. Why has it taken so long to even get this far? The traffic is horrendous with daily hold-ups, but everyone knows that. I sold my house right in the centre of the village 3 months ago and miss the constant struggles with queuing to get home like a hole in the head.

This should not be still a question of ‘should we’. We need this bypass pronto. Houses are going up everywhere, properties are being damaged, pedestrians are being hit, air pollution is suffering, larger vehicles attempting stupid manoeuvres because Sat Nav leads them there. These little roads are not built for the amount of traffic that Banwell endures day and night. We’re fed up with being the poor village. Banwell is such a unique village with so much history and so much to give, yet we are just known as a a traffic jam and hell
hole. Please bring in the cycle paths to sandford and traffic calming through the village. PLEASE

The bypass must go ahead for the people of banwell’s health and wellbeing as there is far too much pollution from traffic and also before someone gets seriously injured

The bypass is so important, we can notice the traffic getting more heavy and queues getting longer , the narrow section is very dangerous

Yes it will create more development in Sandford and beyond. But why should Banwell bear the brunt of a national increase in the need for homes. Why should opportunities for more homes and employment be denied by the NIMBY few. Just get on with it please and create a quiet little village in Banwell with a village square, quiet walks up to a castle and good pubs, possibly a shop or 2 to attract the business from the new home owners in surrounding areas. Just get on with it please.

We so need this bypass, traffic is terrible it’s affect the roads through the village. You take your life into your own hands walking to the shops and for me just walking to work. Get this bypass built ASAP until someone gets killed!

This by-pass needs to go ahead, in order free flow through Banwell. Sandford and Churchill PC seem to think there is going to be increased volume of traffic, but I’ll only be the same amount of traffic using the by-pass. Duh!!

Nothing worse than following the sat nav and it dawning on you that you're on the Banwell Road. Even cycling through the village is a nightmare.
