Chief Miles O'Brien was an indispensable member of Enterprise NCC-1701-D and Deep Space Nine an definetely deserves the statue in Dublin, Ireland.

Petitions are nice but if you really want one you will need to talk to the city leaders where you want it to go and get them on board. Then you will need permission from CBS. Then you will need to raise the money for not only the statue but for a continuing maintenance fund. And that's just the start of it. It's not a matter of just a bunch of people wanting it, you have to have a dedicated group of people willing to work for it. It's like having a full time second job that you don't get paid for.
