When I do become a mother in the future and if I am here (Barbados), I want to feel to have other options than just 'the hospital'.
I am also a strong supporter for water births, at home births, and Doulas. And I think I should be able to choose what is the most comfortable environment for me.

Build a Birthing Center in Barbados where women will feel comfortable and well supported, not only by friends and family but by the midwives, doctors and Doulas.

I had both my babies at the Family Birthing Centre (before it closed) and I feel very privileged to have had such wonderful care and attention. I would love all women to have the choice to have their babies in such a nurturing and caring environment.
This should definitely be an option.
