Birth centres often lower costs to the govt, so are financially prudent as well as contribute to positive health if done correctly.

This is sooooooo needed in Barbados right now. We consider our self to be leaders medically in the Caribbean. With that unfortunately the we have lost the compassion in this natural process.

Birthing Centres are the best place to have your baby in a warm friendly and safe atmosphere. I had two of my babies like that

This is an excellent initiative. I really do hope it is successful as I know it will open bigger opportunities for us as a nation.

This discourse is so important and Iām glad we are thinking of ways to reverse the Medicalization of birth and to revert to natural, supportive birth environments

This is great idea and is much needed. Their is very limited choice of birthing in the island both natural and medical interventions.

Although we respect and appreciate hospitals and doctors, homebirth/birthing center birth is the best choice I ever made! Added to that....is the privilege of being able to assist in these home births!! #momschoicematters

I had the pleasure of having my baby delivered by Andrea of Better Birthing in Bim and I would highly recommend to all mothers.
An extremely great initiative.
