It is absolutely ridiculous that this is only put in effect on the day instead of babies born this year. All parents with babies born from Jan 1st up till yesterday would be really hard done by.

This policy should be enforced for babies born from Jan 2016, and not just available to babies born only from March 24th. It doesn't justify the policy by disregarding all other babies born within the same year. Shouldn't babies born in the same year be given the same benefits?

Govt should consider allow 2016 babies to claim for the $3k CDA. Is not fair that 2016 budget only benefit for 24-mar-16 onward babies! Not all 2016 babies.

My baby girl born on 23 Mar 2016. It will be a pity if we are not entitle for the new scheme because we contribute to our society as well viewing the increasing of delivery cost and other factors as well.

Give it to the 1st Qtr Babies as well even if the physical year start in April. We encourage to hv more babies, then why are we ignoring Jan to Mar 16 babies who also missed the SG50 Packages..

What is the rationale and basis of the date 24 March? Those babies born between 1 Jan 2016 to 23 March 2016 falls into the unfortunate grey zone, which the government should never have allowed to happen. What is the government attempting to achieve and create with this decision making? To shift the commencement date to babies born from 1 Jan 2016 onwards.

Last year when they announce increment in baby bonus, it was backdated to 1st Jan 2015.
Why cant this be backdated to 1st Jan 2016? Arent babies born before today part of singapore babies? It wun be fair at all, makes no sense.
If it's said by some that this scheme is to help parents who cant afford, den what makes them thinks that parents of babies born before today can afford?

Any policy initiatives should always be for the entire calendar year rather than on any abrupt dates.
