Although it will be implemented for this financial year, parents whose child are born this year before the Singapore Budget 2016, should also be entitled to this additional $3,000. If PM Lee allows fathers whose child are born in 2015 and before National Day Rally, to enjoy the additional paternity leave (voluntarily), I don't see why our child born this year and before Singapore Budget 2016, could not enjoy this privilege.

Those families that had a pregnant daughter giving birth in January and February,
Those babies are now less well off as compared to those born after 24th March.

This stupid man made this kind of legislation! The previous one is alot better! Why 24/3!!! Aren't babies beyond this date not born in 2016!!! Do you know another $3000 is beneficial for those who signed up with private cord bank!

Why is it only 24th March onwards babies.? Aren't January babies babies as well?!

Its budget 2016. My wife and I are singaporean born and bred. Why should my kid be left out just because we gave birth in 2016 before the budget was out.
