It's fair to offer this to all babies born from 2016 onwards since government is implementing it for the babies anyway. Please reconsider it.

2016 Budget 2016 should apply for the whole year of 2016, from January to December 2016.

Totally agreed. Those born in 2016 already missed the SG50 and why now benefits starts from 24th March and not 1st Jan?

Quote from The Straits Times: "Said Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Thursday: "I am told that, on average last year, we had 93 babies born every day. So congratulations to our 93 babies (born today)." There are 82 days from 1st Jan to 23rd Mar 2016. So based on average 93 babies born every day, there will be 7626 babies left out of CDA First Step grant of $3K. If the govt is really sincere in supporting pro-birth, these numbers should matter and not simply left out!

Extend to babies 7 yrs old and below! Those preschool fees are whopping high. Cheaper ones are always full. Medicial fees for babies are usually abt $100 these 12k easily used up with 12 visits to the clinics!
