Let Bryson residents conserve water with xeriscaping

This yard looks much more well kept and maintained than the yards with grown up grass and weeds overpowering flower beds and trims left I trimmed!

While I do believe in the formal process of getting HOA approval prior to changing the aesthetic of our homes/yards I am disheartened to see our HOA not working with a homeowner to help resolve an issue. Xeriscaping is needed and I think it looks wonderful. We are constantly on water restrictions and I think on this case, the good completely outweighs the bad.

I support xeriscaping . It should be allowed for all houses so we can conserve water. I'd saw gravel is a better look than dead grass

Allow xeriscaped yards to help conserve water!

I'm a Bryson resident. This looks better than half the lawns in the neighborhood. Actually, it's probably in the top 10% of the house fronts I admire. If this was denied, then what exactly would meet approval standards? Very interested in this as I also don't like constantly watering the lawn just to keep it alive and would love to do at least some partial xeriscaping. 1/3 of our backyard space is xeriscaped.

I believe our climate is changing to become hotter and drier in central Texas. Every effort to conserve water will help our community in the long run. Our HOA supports using native plants to conserve water so why do they “require” thirsty non-native grass?

The Bryson grass requirement is ridiculous!

I really not understand why we have to form a petition and have a meeting for a issue that is a not necessary. Removing grass and making the front yard more appealing and draught tolerant and saving water should encouraged and not something we have fight for. It is wasting money and time for everyone!

Let the residents choose their own landscape option for their lifestyle and home!

Residents should be able to choose cost efficient and conservative ways for yard scaping. Our house, our community, our money, our choices!!
