We call for the governing body of Bruton Primary School to halt the process to federate the school with Upton Noble Primary School, and fully investigate the possibility of an alliance with Sexeys School, Bruton, which we feel would be a better option for the children and community of Bruton because it would give greater opportunities for academic excellence and sporting prowess to develop from an early age whilst providing consistency and security throughout their school career and being a very positive step for the wider community. We feel that the governors are trying to hurriedly force through a change which may not be the best option available, in terms of long and short term consequences, and we ask them to STOP. If it is possible and feasible, we would prefer and arrangement with Sexeys.
I honestly cannot believe how fast this is moving and how many people have reached out to share their own worries about the federation process. It feels like the whole town is waking up to what is happening at the primary school and I keep checking my phone because the momentum is just incredible.

Stop rushing this decision. We deserve to know why Sexeys isnt being considered properly. This feels like it is all happening behind closed doors.

Total incompetence from the governors. Check out the other options before you ruin a good thing.

Sexey's is the obvious choice. Makes way more sense for our community.

My kids go to Bruton and I am very worried about these plans. Slow down and listen to what the parents are actually asking for.

Why are the governors so determined to push this through??? Bruton deserves better. Think about the kids future not just an easy fix.

Ridiculous idea. Keep our local schools separate and look at the better options for the kids. Dont just force this on us without a real say.
