Why does the phrase Constructive Dismissal come to mind?

The annual reports from the last two years show the BTC meeting all of the stated goals that they have shared with the members. It feels suspicious that a (former) board member is now the CEO. Financially, the charity is paying for two executive directors. Beth was such a long service employee I don't imagine we'll stop paying for 2 EDs for some time. How can the board justify that kind of cost to the charity?

It is time to stop running the BTC like a business corporation and acknowledge that it is a Not for Profit corporation which has succeeded thanks to it's dedicated members and volunteers and not an obligation to Shareholders ,and business executives with a different Mission Statement. The so called new approach is a slight to all of the volunteers and members who have made the BTC what it is today

We too are somewhat concerned about the sudden 'departure' of Beth as CEO. We would be interested in knowing more specifically why this has 'happened'. Members 19809

I am very disappointed with the decision that the board has made to remove Beth from this position without just cause. I would have expected the board to act with more respect to Beth given the contributions she has made to make the Bruce Trail what it is today. I'm not impressed to say the least! Perhaps we should put it to a vote to see how the membership stands on this situation.

We need an explanation. Beth was great in her position.

We need a better explanation as to why Beth was let go. I believe that there is more behind the action than meets the eye.
