Science is not "hate speech" and scientific facts should not heat anyone's feelings.

It is deeply concerning that voices are silenced within academia. As a clinician I am desperate for evidence-based guidance on how best to nurse young people who present with ROGD, and if controversial but necessary research is continually silenced, we will be working blind.

We deserve to have access to the truth. To deny this denies democracy.

As a scientist I believe in freedom of academic enquiry and speech. Don’t let research be suppressed in the name of political correctness.

The attacks on this research are politically motivated & have nothing to do with its methodology & value.

I'm signing because it's free inquiry all the way or not at at all.

We need independent research to examine issues, ask questions, explore topics free of political interference and mobs of vested interest individuals and organisations using bullying tactics to silence research and frighten researcher with whom they disagree. We depend on academic institutions to protect and work for the public good, and to to protect vulnerable groups at risk from powerful forces, You must defend researchers and research and nor give in to bullying and aggression rather than civilised debate, argument, reason and evidence. Do not give in.

Please stand up and support academic freedom. Without free speech, there is no democracy.

As an academic scientist I am appalled at the unversity’s Treatment of Dr Littman and her research. Shameful capitulation to an ideology

This is really important research on a new and worrying trend.

My FtM trans son is a little older than the standard ROGD young person, but fits many of the criteria. Maybe he will not desist, but I would have preferred treatment to have been pursuant to an exploration of underlying issues such as a previously stated lesbian ID, probable ASD, and definite depression.

Censorship like this is always wrong, this is how knowledge is acquired.

This study must be continued for the GOOD of our young people. There is emerging research and a huge amount of anecdotal evidence showing that many behaviours and self diagnoses result from social/media/peer contagion. Transgender activists should have nothing to fear from such a study and can have no sound basis to object to it.
