Rigorous scientific enquiry should be supported not suppressed. Just do the right thing and don't kowtow to the powerful transgender lobby.

It's terrifying how research is being suppressed to appease political activists. We need to know why there has been such a huge increase in young girls wanting to transition. Littman's study is the first step to understanding what's going on. Those wishing to suppress research like this, and James Caspian's research into detransitioners, do not care about children's welfare or trans people's welfare. They have other motives.

We need more research on this very important health issue. It is vital that we not censor the gathering of more information about something so harmful to ones health and impactful to so many lives as this issue. My daughter is probably already "lost" from being swept up in this social tribal messaging. But we parents know our children better than anyone else and we have consistent stories to tell. You should not dismiss us. There is more to this diagnosis and phenomenon than the current narrative is revealing. Please do not allow yourselves to be part of one of the biggest medical failures of our time.

The fight for academic freedom from activists has never been more needed. I urge administrators and Brown University to fulfill their mandate to society at large.

The study affirms the truth witnessed by therapists, detransitioners and families. ROGD is a truth and studies should be furthered not censored.

I am anonymous at the request of my daughter who met the DSM-5 definition of GD and pleaded for a double mastectomy, gonadotropin agonists (puberty blockers) and testosterone and has since desisted after realizing it was a maladaptive coping strategy to anxiety and depression. She had absolutely no prior history of GD.

I hope there will be further research into helping young people with gender dysphoria to love themselves in their natural body without altering their physical body. First, Do No Harm!

I have read this paper and found it fascinating and very important. The methodology and related limitations are clearly laid out and easily followed. The criticisms I have read are simply perspectives on what can be legitimately deduced from the methodology employed, which would be understood by the vast majority of readers. I find it very concerning that any University or Publisher would seek to limit access to such work, specifically given the political climate it has been published in. I would like assurances that actions and ‘investigations’ underway are clearly set out in pre-existing policy and are not in any way related to the subject of the paper.
