Brown, transing kids is a medical fiasco. Driven by confused activists who don’t understand basic medical things. In a few years this is going to all blowup. You don’t want to be somebody who helped suppress information needed to fix the problem.

Research cannot be hidden because some groups don't like the findings. By all means let critics argue about the methodology, participants, conclusions etc in order to design a future rigorous studies, however, shutting down debate/studies doesn't stop ROGD existing.

To try and hide this study just shows that they don't care about the facts and only care about their agenda.

At some point, Brown is going to have to decide whether it wants to be an institution of higher learning & inquiry or a mouthpiece for vocal, ideologically "correct" political factions. It is indeed a sad state of affairs when the emergence of a potentially harmful anomalous pattern of psycho-social behaviors that even those of us without children are witnessing first hand in our communities is deemed beyond mention & inquiry.
Littman's paper merely draws attention to a recent phenomena & seeks to question "why." If her findings are incorrect, they should be refuted with further research (which I'm sure she'd welcome), not hidden away because they are politically inconvenient.

You cannot suppress data and claim to be an institution of science and learning. You will be nothing but another tool of propaganda.

Dr Littman's study contributes to our understanding of how best to serve the mental health needs of all gender-non-conforming young people, and how to avoid doing harm.

My teen daughter became convinced she was a boy when she was 13 shortly after attending a school presentation. She is intellectually gifted, but has autism. She was feminine throughout childhood, but never fit in with girls. Over 5% of her school also thought they were trans. This is clearly a socially contagious idea affecting vulnerable young people. Most concerning, good therapy is impossible to find. And research into this phenomenon is being shut down before it can begin. This is no innocent trend, but one accompanied by serious medical interventions which unscrupulous MDs are only too happy to provide. This is a medical scandal that the media is afraid to touch. The cowardice of academia is indefensible. Shame on you.

This is one of the most important health issues of our time and deserves to be treated with the same scientific rigour and debate as any other, without emotional blackmail and harassment from people who have strong opinions. Everyone has a right to an opinion but not all opinions are right. I support evidence.

The parental reports in this study are real, nonpartisan, and supportive of children. Support Dr. Littman in continued research. And make it easier, not harder, for people to come forward: stop bowing to ideological pressure from those who don't like where the data points.

I am in full support of Dr. Lisa Littman and her study on the topic of rapid onset gender dysphoria (ROGD).. I believe more studies should be done to fully understand what is happening.

As a parent of young children, I have grave concerns about the unprecedented rise in transgender identification among children and young adults, and the speed with which some are being funnelled towards life-changing medication and eventual surgery - despite the fact that all available studies to date show a desistance rate of around 80% when left to their own devices. We urgently need more, not less, research in order to determine the varying causes of trans identification, why this has increased so massively in recent years, and the best methods for treating dysphoria, while following the principle of "first, do no harm".

Please support academic freedom to research contentious areas of health treatment and policy. A generation of young lesbians may be going down a road of unnecessary medicalization.

We cannot allow special interest groups to interfere with the publication of peer reviewed academic studies. That way totalitarianism lies.
