Universities used to be known as havens for free speech. It is way past time to return to that position.

As the parent of 14yo daughter who has recently realized she is transgender. I fully believe ROGD is a serious issue that deserves to be researched. The number of young adults suddenly becoming transgender with no previous questioning is too much to ignore. The overwhelming similarities in our stories should be proof enough that something is happening to our children. We need someone like Dr. Littman to help us help them. The numbers alone are too great to risk continuing on the path of treatment we currently have.

The problems of misogyny, homophobia, sexual abuse, bullying etc. will not be solved by turning teenaged girls into transmen. These are issues that require social, political, and psychological solutions. The facilitation of unexamined gender reassignment for adolescents with no prior gender dysphoria, which later results in buyer's remorse, is not just a tragedy, it's medical malpractice. In their desire to create an easier transition for truly transgendered people, trans activists have convinced the academy that even to ask an adolescent to consider alternative explanations for their gender dysphoria constitutes transphobia. Prohibiting introspection and research is resulting in mutilated bodies and mutilated lives when these young people realize they erred and need to detransition. Dr. Littman's research must continue, and her cohorts around the world must do the same research, because this phenomenon is global. Our children's bodies and futures must not be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and pseudo-science.

Please stop those in the medical field from harming the youth! Give them therapy if needed, the mutilation of youngsters is ghastly by those so-called "doctors." My granddaughter was a beautiful, and normal teen until she fell into their hands!

Letting social politics stifle objective scientific research is a recipe for disaster. Freedom means freedom for all perspectives, even the ones we don't like. Thank you for your service to Truth in Science and Psychology!

Littman's scientific research is invaluable. To silence her and her research is untenable.

Good medicine requires thorough research. You might not like the topic, but what you like is not important. Good medical care is.

Our children need this research. We just want them to receive proper medical care.

I support academic freedom and the what the doctors say. Do not be bullied by those who wish harm on young girls so they can hold onto this horrible identity medicine calling for girls and boys to mutilate themselves to fit into what society expects of them.

yes please!! I'm a trans 13 year old and I sully support this. I feel like lots of people use the transgender label as a coping method when they're actually struggling with completely different issues.
From what I've seen, parents know their kids. They won't be shocked if that child comes out as trans if it's actually the case.
research more!!!

This issue is TOO important to let go unstudied and we must support our researchers and professionals in doing so!

I support this petition. My 23 years old Autistic son suddenly started identifying as a transgender woman. The therapists from planned Parenthood who diagnosed him with gender dysphoria did it without our knowledge and without requesting medical history from his previous doctors to disregard any other possible underlying issues that could be causing this confusion.

I was 39 years old when I transitioned from male to female and ROGD is the cause of it. I regret transitioning and want to detransition. I wish we had this study 10 years ago.

We need to keep politics out of science.
