The truth will set you free. Prejudice (against study results) has no place at an institute of learning.

If only the Brown administration had had the strength to do the right thing, for just a single week.

Despite the criticisms to the methodology, Dr Littman's work has survived the peer-review process. Not all published papers require an empirical section. If other academics wish to use this paper as a starting point to conduct an empirical study then that is a good thing. We will never know if this hypothesis holds up to empirical tests if it suppressed.

If you don't think this study is correct, perform another one that refutes it. Trying to repress it makes the point that you're afraid it's true, but don't want that fact to be widely understood.

This research is incredibly important. What is the problem? Why is there an attempt to suppress it. Why are people frightened of what it might reveal?

Don't let the activists impede the free inquiry on this issue. Tell the activists to "Sod off!"

I am a Brown grad 1978 and have never given money to Brown - and likely never will. Brown continues to prove this a very wise decision.

This study needs to take place. How can we know that we are making the best decisions for children if all avenues are not explored?

Why would you give in to political pressure on this important information?

This is incredibly depressing to read. How can we go on saying that we are doing the absolute best for young gnc children when we are afraid of allowing studies to take place that looking into the cause of their suffering? It is sad to say that I feel it was safer for me to have come to terms with my sexuality years ago then now, given the political climate that seems to be pressuring gay kids to transition. We are absolutely failing gnc kids right now because some people are afraid of what these studies could suggest. Brown University you are helping no one but yourselves and your own self appearance. You are failing the scientific community, and you are failing a generation of young gay kids.

I believe scientific pursuits should be allowed to be completed without social pressure for a certain outcome.
