Finding the truth through sound research should never be squelched by the enraged of the day culture. Our society is better than this. Our children are worth fighting for, they are our future. - a concerned mom

In April, my 13yo, with full support of her (non-binary) therapist, told me she wants to transition to male, mainly because she doesn't like the way women are seen in our culture. For the vast majority of her life she has clearly identified as female, and at many times has wanted a lot more pink in her life than her dad and I did. A few weeks after her announcement that she is a boy, she was lying in bed sobbing because she feels part female, yet knows she is male. She currently says she is female, but is feeling very confused around gender. I wonder if perhaps the enthusiastic affirmation she received from her therapist and her psychiatrist when she discussed her gender could contribute to her very real confusion now. As a parent, I would love to see research about trans kids that separates out the cohort that comes to this identity in adolescence. It seems likely that it is a different path, potentially with different outcomes. And I can't find ANY research out there beyond this one article, and a little bit suggesting that the demographics of trans are changing to include a lot more kids like mine. Yes, these kids are out there. And no, it is not transphobic to suggest that we need more information about them!

In Canada there are laws on the books that require parents to "facilitate" the child's transition or the child can be removed from the parents care. I have a 2 year old. This is insanity. Trudeau sucks.

Equal rights for all is part of this country’s fabric, but allowing one group who has been marginalized to essentially “control” this very serious topic to assuage societal guilt, while using today’s mainly female youth as pawns is a dangerous disgrace.

This is a revelation to the strong yet uncertain claims of the pro-LGBT ppl and will give insight to what is really true not politically true.

Of course Dr. Lisa Littman's paper has some limitation, but limitation is not methodological problem. Every paper has its own limitation. The excuse of Brown University and the journal is just non sense

If the study has any merit, it will warrant further research. Let it stand or fall on the information contained and methodology used. Peer review, not public outrage.

Please don't cave to the political pressures of the Trans activists. I support Lisa Littman's research. It is very important and relevant to the atrocities that are happening to our children.

Ignoring evidence because it doesn't fit a personal agenda is not scientific. Not researching this phenomenon further would be a disservice to the psychological community, the trans community, and humanity overall. Let's quit letting emotions dictate the direction of our progress.

Sick of media manipulating everything! My niece suddenly thinks she is transgender. All ridiculous. Way to go professor!
