Although not a participant in this study I am a parent of a teen who is a part of this demographic. Please allow this essential information to be released and studied further.

This sweeping transgender trend needs thorough investigation .It jeopardises the safety both physically and mentally of vulnerable people

As a (VERY left-leaning) healthcare professional working in a clinic with a significant Transgender population (mostly, ironically enough, young adult female to male) providing gender affirming care AND the parent of a ROGD 17yo daughter, I find this a particularly important study both personally AND professionally. It is disappointing and disturbing that an academic instution that should be founded and operating on the principle of scientific research and advancement would opt in favor of special-interest pressure. I think this is yet another example of how money dictates public awareness and owns what truths we are privy to. While i think trans-activists are probably well-meaning in their criticism and have genuine concern for others in their community, there is a whole separate population of gender dysphoric young adults and teens who also stand to be affected by this publication - and negatively impacted if this research is not promoted and pursued. I also think we would be remiss to not mention that there was quite likely pressure by big pharma to squash a study that discourages quick resort to hormone therapy as that industry stands to profit ENORMOUSLY from this epidemic. Im sure it was a multifacated decision to remove Dr Littmans study but it is clear that it was not in the best interest of research on this epidemic phenomenon, those affected by it or the precedent of supporting controversial scientifically derived, peer reviewed findings.

It’s a scary day for science if we allow activists to dictate what outcomes will be “allowed”.

No one should in any way mistreat a transgender person. This isn't about that,it is about researching what appears to be pandemic and protecting young people from irreversible potential harm.

Research, whether politically correct or not, can only shed light & should never be avoided ! Specially when the research is demonstrating some variant of "The Emperor Has No Clothes" !!!

I'm not a parent of a trans person. But as a university professor with >30 years of research experience in the Biological Sciences I am horrified by this and other anti-scientific attempts to suppress, discredit and vilify scientific research whose results may challenge political fashions. I commend Dr Littman for her important work and for her courage!

I am a Brown alumna and am sad to see the wonderful things I learned at Brown -- namely, the importance of vigorous research, the questioning of all ideas, and the freedom and encouragement to express all ideas without fear and with courage -- are quickly fading away. I hope Brown will find its way back to embracing freedom of inquiry, in this case, for the health and well-being of everyone.

This insanity from the activists for the LGBTQ+ radicals is being used as the indoctrination tool to capture children from k-12, to infect them with adult sexual perversion! Children have no defense against this indoctrination, now invading every school district in America, Adults had better wake up and defend America's children or else they will be captured into the destruction ramped in the gay community

The majority of my 14 year old daughter's female classmates suddenly decided they were either trans, bi, or lesbian after a class in 'gender sensitivity'.

Don’t knock the stats when it hasn’t happened to your family. This phenomenal surge is like the Pet Rock fad - everyone wants to have one, be one.

Critiques or retraction is more appropriate than censorship. If there were methodological concerns, go through the regular scientific process of external and independent review.

The new fad is gender dysphoria. It is a modern example of mass hysteria or St Vitus' Dance! When academics collude with popular sexual mores, there is a very serious problem! The university should be ashamed of itself... it doesn't deserve to be called academic or a university. Perhaps it has never heard of the scientific process, falsification, or peer review??

Concerned about my 14 year old child. The families in Lisa Littman’s study could be our family.

When a university is scared of its own research then you know you have a problem.

I support Lisa Littman and her research. I think it is time to stop giving in to these activist that label everyone transphobic who dares to ask questions or disagree with them.
