Free speech and scientific truth before everything. Facts don't care about your feelings !

The integrity of science must never be compromised in the face of ideological attacks.

Ideologies should never take precedence over academic, peer-reviewed and scientifically grounded research and facts. Especially when it is all about the greater good for humanity, psychology and mental health and psyches.

Where is the investigative integrity of suppressing research. Brown University stinking is totally dysfunctional and and is dangerous such a pivotal time. Academic institutions lose the classification of of Higher Learning when they suppress the enlightenment of society by elevating a miniscule segment of society wishes no matter how understand political correctness and being at the Forefront of a movement that has yet to establish its legitimacy in all things it claims as The Truth. Round University is setting a tragic precedent which is all too common with the radical left actionary supporters. Brown University needs to stand it's ground and let investigative journalism be displayed and the controversies that arise sort themselves out in the public domain that once stood for democracy

The findings are the findings!!! Your place is not to censor them or pander to those who don't want to hear them!!

Both PLoS ONE and Brown University have admirable reputations. Please uphold these by supporting the essential research being carried out into a matter of serious health concern. Thank you.

I seek knowledge from this research and your current course is not encouraging.

As a Science graduate, I am appalled at the censoring of this very useful and time-sensitive research. Activists around the world are pushing unscientific gender education while stifling real research in the matter. Shame on Brown University for buckling under pressure. Better to suffer a little than to lose your credibility. This data is very much needed as the U.K. Minister of Education investigates a 4000% increase in school-age children requesting sex change and a four-fold increase in referrals to gender clinics. This research is crucial, necessary and very timely.

I am thoroughly against anti-science, which is what the censorship of Dr Littman's research amounts to. It is a dangerous path to tread.

I fully support the research of Dr. Littman. My child came out as transgender at the age of 14, after no previous indications of being so and after school friends had also come out. I would not suggest that my child being transgender is impossible, or that it is wrong to be so. But having experienced ROGD in my home and with my child, I have a personal desire to understand what is happening. On a societal level, it is imperative that scientific exploration not be stifled by special interests. We need not agree with a study's hypothesis or results to value the scientific process and its role in the world.

This work needs to be given consideration. I am a post-mutilation person misdiagnosed as trans and perhaps I would not be in this horrible situation if therapists had not rubber-stamped my surgeries and if I had the insight to see what was really going on. How many more will be self-sterilized and mutilated and unhappy until trans is honestly explored and better treatments developed.

I'm a transexual myself and support Dr. Littman's study, because I believe in academic freedom. Science must not be controlled by ideology, or it isn't science! Besides of that I really don't see how that study can harm trans individuals in any way. Being trans myself, I want this condition to be understood and treated better. I am also worried about the phenomenon of ROGD, as I have seen it many times among young adults (mostly females) in the trans community. I strongly disagree with the current state of the trans movement and I don't think any of these activists genuinely cares about the wellbeing of transexuals, let alone teens or young adults with ROGD who should probably not have access to medical transition at all. IMO even longterm dysphoric individuals should only transition as a last solution if nothing else helps while still being aware of their actual biological sex. Everything else is lunatic!

I fully support this petition. I am a Brown graduate and Brown parent of 3 graduates. Bess Marcus's (Brown's) reasoning is horrendous and terribly embarrassing. It also, yet again, shows that the left is mentally and morally bankrupt. They put silly politics above very serious health issues, and we've seen this movie before!

This petition clearly states my reason for supporting Dr. Littman's research and for the need to promote it. "We, the signatories to this letter, overwhelmingly support the rights of transgender people, but we want better diagnostic and mental health care for youth who suddenly demand serious medical interventions, particularly in the absence of a history of dysphoria."

Our minds are not fully mature until around the age of 25. Why are we letting our kids make these decisions so young? I want to see the numbers on how many revert back to the gender they were born with when they reach the age of 25 or older.
