Please allow Dr Lisa Littman to present her scientific facts and quit silencing her because it doesn't fit a particular narrative. This is not how academic pursuit of the truth is supposed to work...by silencing people like Dr Littman.

As a mom of a 14 year old boy who suddenly proclaimed that he is a girl, I believe that this issue needs to be well researched in order to protect the interests of vulnerable children. There is clear evidence of social contagion and propaganda on the internet from activists that makes these kids think that they are opposite sex. The way the kids react to their parents ( name calling) indicates that they were coached online how to deal with “Transphobic parents.” My loving, gentle, and kind boy turned into someone else. There is also evidence of other factors involved (autism, giftedness).

As you are an institute of higher education which should be allowing different studies /views to be presented I implore you to support Dr. Littman’s study on ROGD. Why are you so fearful of opposing voices? Aren’t you supposed to encourage a “Marketplace of Ideas?”

We need to have critical studies instead of one truth only -policy.

Please do not abandon your culture of open mindedness and freedom of critical inquiry by caving to radical activists. As a liberal high school English teacher I have seen an explosion of young girls in my classes suddenly identifying as boys in recent years. Some have transitioned back to girls after a year or two. Dr. Littman’s scientific research is important if we are interested in the long term well being of young people more than in adherence to liberal orthodoxy.

Research such as Dr. Littman's here is of utmost importance in regards to gender dysphoria, as well as mental health and general wellbeing. Whether we should or shouldn't allow such drastic medical procedures to be used on kids and young adults on a whim, is (regardless of one's personal support or opposition) a prospect made especially "troubling" when it may be sought out by someone who may only suffer more as a result. This is not helped by the fact it is an extremely unstudied field, or many of the doctors with these patients don't really try to determine or take into account a given case's specific cause, or the individual's medical history. As it is becoming more and more prevalent in the public's attention people need to know more about these topics - which is why it's so important for it to be scientifically probed, studied, and documented. Untethered by matters of politics. So complex cases and conditions like this can be handled appropriately. With all the care that is needed.

as a practicing pediatrician since 1996, it is very alarming to see the unprecedented number of middle school females who now present stating they are transgender, particularly at such a vulnerable time of their development - a phase in time which by it's very nature is uncomfortable

We cannot allow ideology and fear of "cancel culture" to undermine scientists and academic freedom.
