Against the Permanent Closure of Brookes Restaurant

This institution will always be the cornerstone of a hospitality related course at Brookes - to close it would be hugely damaging to the reputation of the school.

The restaurant is an asset to the students and staff and is also valuable for the community Oxford Brookes is part of. Only close if you are going to replace it with a new restaurant proposition.

Don’t understand why the university is insisting on destroying the Hospitality school. This restaurant is award winning, would be such an error to close it.

Why close a great restaurant:meeting place with fab staff??

Such an integral part of oxfords dining culture , so many great talents developed there.

Brookes Restaurant is an integral part of the course offering and adds tremendous value, not only to the student experience but the wider community. The quality of teaching and learning in the Brookes Restaurant environment has a massive impact on my degree. Since graduating I have been back countless times to enjoy outstanding food and service. The restaurant is a valuable asset, recognised locally and across the wider industry.

Brookes Restaurant is a hugely important part of the degree course. As an industry employer, who had the fortune of the use use of this wonderful asset, I know all too well how important a practical grounding is before entering the industry. To loose this brilliant training space and years of knowledge that the teaching team can give students would be a tragedy!

I had my graduation lunch there in 1999 - it would be very sad to see it close.

This is such a shame! Big, big mistake I think to close this restaurant. It is future students I feel will miss out, surely this is a major benefit for the students!
